English (for all applicants)
Provide proof of your English level (TOEIC or other). This document will bring real added value to your application.
Score required to integrate UniLaSalle
- in 2nd year : 550 points in TOEIC
- in 3rd year: 550 points in TOEIC
- in 4th year : 820 points in TOEIC
Requirements of the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur
The desirable level for an engineer is C1 (TOEIC: 945 to 990 points). Under no circumstances will an engineering degree be awarded to a student who does not reach the minimum required level: TOEIC 820 points.
If proof of your English level is not provided, an English test will be offered to you on the day of the interview. It consists of listening and reading comprehension exercises similar to a mini-TOEIC Listening & Reading test.
Here is a methodology for practicing effectively with the TED TALK:
- Step 1: watch the video without subtitles or transcript (listening comprehension)
- Step 2: print the transcript and read it (reading comprehension)
- Step 3: work on the spelling/phonics link by listening to the video again following the transcript. Stop the video after each paragraph and reread aloud (pronunciation / correction of erroneous phonetic patterns)
- Step 4: look for unknown vocabulary and pay attention to the grammatical structures of the text (Vocabulary + grammar)
References for books to help you progress in grammar
- English Grammar in Use, Intermediate, Cambridge (start by taking the test at the end of the "Study Guide" to identify gaps and units to work on)
- Grammar and vocabulary for the TOEIC test, Cambridge
French (for applicants from non-French speaking countries)
If you are from a non-French speaking country: Provide proof of your level of French. The absence of this document will not prevent the study of your application, but attaching it will add real value.
Requirements of the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur
The foreign holder of a French engineering degree must have a minimum level of B2 in French, validated by an external certification.
